Four Metro Vancouver area councillors have banded together to demand increased provincial oversight of municipal spending following allegations of misuse in a city hall gift card program. Their petition underscores mounting frustrations over public funds management, ensuring that every loose buck is brought under scrutiny.
"It's on everyone's mind in the city, it doesn't matter if you go to McDonald's or you go shopping," one Richmond city counicllor said of the scandal.
