Alberta NDP severs federal party membership ties

In a move that makes traditional party ties seem as outdated as dial-up internet, Alberta’s NDP has voted to let members opt out of federal membership. The decision sparks debates over ideological alignment and modernizing the party’s structure.

Party members gave Nenshi 89.5 per cent support in a leadership review vote, and also voted in favour of allowing members to opt out of federal NDP membership
