Local law enforcement is investigating the tragic overdose death of a 15‐year‐old. Reports indicate that a lethal mix of hydromorphone (Dilaudid) and cough medicine led to the fatal incident in Campbell River, BC. Authorities are now scrambling for answers in what is being called the ultimate “recipe for disaster.”
CAMPBELL RIVER - RCMP say a 15-year-old died of a suspected drug overdose this month in Campbell River, B.C., believed to involve the prescription opioid hydromorphone and cough medicine.
The investigation into the teen's death led police to believe that a combination of Dilaudid and non-prescription cough medication was the cause of the fatal overdose.
