Authorities report a tragic head‐on collision on Highway 2A near Ponoka, where an overtaking maneuver turned fatal, claiming four lives—including two teenagers. Ponoka RCMP said a GMC Acadia was passing other vehicles on Highway 2A late Saturday morning when it hit an oncoming Volkswagen Tiguan, killing all four people involved.
