In Nanaimo, police launched an urgent search for a missing woman after her sailboat was discovered empty and washed ashore near Bayshore Drive off Hammond Bay Road. The baffling scene has left residents wondering if the boat’s mysterious journey was an accidental drift or an unsolved coastal escapade.
The sailboat was found just after 2 p.m. on Thursday near Bayshore Drive, located off Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo RCMP said. Its owner remains missing.
