Ontario grapples with escalating measles outbreak impacting schools

Ontario is in the midst of a measles outbreak as cases surge and a local high school shuts down after exposure. With over 1,600 cases reported and concerns mounting, health officials are scrambling for answers while the public watches, bemused by the virus’s stubborn persistence.
A high school in Kitchener, Ont., was closed on Thursday after there was a confirmed case of measles connected to the school by Waterloo Public Health.
